Dr. Mathias Leblanc

Dr. Mathias Leblanc (“Dr. Mat”) was trained at the University of Montreal (Canada). After a few years in private practice, he pursued a Residency in Veterinary Pathology and a PhD in Endocrinology. He had a long career in academia, supporting research as a Staff Scientist at the Salk Institute in San Diego and as an Associate Professor of Pathology at Duke University and Wake Forest University. He never stopped practicing veterinary medicine with all kinds of creatures from dogs, cats, pocket pets, fish and larger species. Over the years, he has volunteered in organizations and shelters providing care to pets and people in need. He settled in Vermont to practice with her daughter. Dr. Mat is a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animals, presented in national and international meetings on research and animal wellbeing, and made contributions to over 50 articles on Cancer and Metabolism.
